Referred to as the Crown Jewel of Downtown Tucson, Fox Tucson Theatre emulates Southern Arizona majesty architecturally, culturally and as a premier performance venue. Originally built as a pristine 1930’s Vaudeville stage and movie palace, the Fox has been meticulously restored and technologically updated to serve as performance venue anchor in Tucson’s exciting, revitalized downtown district.

Historic building enthusiasts flock to the Fox to tour the only known Southwestern Art Deco style theatre in the United States. Guests are delighted by splendid examples of the art deco period, such as the intricate wall sconces and chandeliers, desert-hued decorative paint design, and the cherished two-person balcony love seats.

This grand setting in the center of Tucson hosts a wide variety of entertainment and community events. True to the Fox’s origins, classic Hollywood films are regularly shown, as are special-interest film premieres and festivals. Guests are encouraged to settle in with a little popcorn and watch these productions on the big screen, as the directors intended. This season, check the Classic Film schedule and look for the Banff Mountain Film Festival (3/7 & 3/8) and Cine Mexico Film from the Hanson Film Institute (3/29).

Community event and private event organizers love the ambiance of the Fox for their celebrations. The facility offers several rental space options for a variety of different sized events. The Fox is honored to host these gatherings that bring the community together for worthy causes and for life’s memorable occasions.
